I was only able to complete 4 out of the 10 articles needed for my Webliography Project, however, here is a Reference list of the ten articles I found and read about the School Counselor and Collaboration (In case you are interested):
Hello,
I am writing to you from the lovely Shenandoah Valley in Northern Virginia. My name is Amanda Shenk and this is my fifth and final intensive at Liberty! I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in 2003 from Shenandoah University and taught 5th Grade in public school up until 2007. After feeling the need for a change, I transferred to our County's Middle School (we have only one!--but we did just get a second High School) where I teach 6th and 7th Grade Math Enrichment. My class is an additional Math class for students in danger of failing. I absolutely LOVE it at the Middle School level. After spending a year with these crazy, hormonal pre-teen/teens I can't imagine going anywhere else! I am pursuing my degree in School Counseling because I feel it is what I was meant to do and I am positive I would like to counsel at the Middle School level. This class is on my path…so I hope to learn all that I can to become a successful counselor.
Okay, on a personal note I am VERY busy. My husband Cary is the Kitchen Manager of a family restaurant in our home town. We have two children. Chloe is 10 years old and Atticus is 4 years old. Atticus is a whirlwind of trouble!I’ve even thought about renting him as a way of preventing teen pregnancy. My teenage nephews regularly babysit for us and they are sure they don’t want kids anytime soon. Our children keep us extremely busy. Chloe has many activities such as ballet and Girl Scouts.
I currently don’t have time for a hobby BUT I love rubber stamping, in fact I sell stamping and scrapbooking products for a company called Stampin’ Up!www.stampinup.comCheck it out—it’s fun!
I wish everyone well in the course!~Amanda
